## Description

Der Bruchpilot is a personal information website created by a person with a severe physical disability to address the experiences and concerns of disabled people. It focuses on physical closeness, privacy while receiving care, sexuality, relationships, and the effects of dependence on personal autonomy. The site aims to encourage open discussion, challenge the taboo surrounding disabled people’s sexuality, and offer information to readers with or without disabilities who are new to these topics.

Its content includes articles, talks and other reference materials, personal accounts, and information about care and sexual assistance. Featured materials include the short film Nimm mich and a ZDF documentary titled Die Berührerin. The site also provides a guestbook, links, and contact information. A discussion forum was previously available, but it has been closed because it had not seen activity for several years. Der Bruchpilot presents sexuality as diverse and personal, and seeks to support the dignity and self-expression of disabled people.
