## Description

The DeRouins is a family website created to connect relatives and share interests, stories, and information about the DeRouin family. Its central resource is a family tree documenting the family’s roots in France and history in New France, with records reaching back to 1577. Visitors can explore the genealogy, including the story of Marie Chapelier, who arrived in New France in 1649 as one of the Filles à Marier and married Robert Drouin. Family members may request a login to contribute to the tree.

The site also brings together several personal-interest projects. Camping Tidbits offers a place to share camping tips and experiences, while Garden Tidbits focuses on container gardening, including hydroponic growing. Another section follows the creator’s exploration of raising mealworms as a protein source and provides recipes. FossilWeb is dedicated to helping fossil collectors identify their finds, and Weird Science Stuff shares striking observations about nature and physics. Together, these resources make the site a personal hub for family history, practical hobbies, and curiosity-driven learning.
