# Derwent River Big Swim - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `derwentriverbigswim.com` ## Description Derwent River Big Swim is a Tasmanian open-water swimming organization offering challenging marathon and ultra-marathon swims across the state’s rivers and lakes. Its signature 34-kilometre event follows the Derwent River from New Norfolk to Hobart’s Tasman Bridge and is part of the official Australian Triple Crown of Ultra Marathon Swimming, recognised by Marathon Swimming Australia. The program also includes swims ranging from 14 to 49 kilometres, such as Tasman Bridge to Iron Pot Lighthouse, Bowen Bridge to Iron Pot, New Norfolk to Opossum Bay, and routes at Lake St Clair and Yingina/Great Lake. The organization provides information to help swimmers explore events, prepare, and begin an application. Its website features entry guidance, course details, frequently asked questions, swimming resources, and an honour roll celebrating completed swims. Participants must arrange an escort pilot and boat separately; pilots are independent, and swim timing depends on weather, river, and sea conditions. Each event offers experienced swimmers a demanding test of endurance amid Tasmania’s distinctive waterways and changing conditions. ## Industries - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Water Sports _(under Sports)_ - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/derwentriverbigswim) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idBxKowX77/w/114/h/113/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793005760174) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idBxKowX77/w/326/h/326/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793005760380) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Blue Chill | #0da7ac | accent | | Mine Shaft | #222222 | dark | | Malibu | #67e0f7 | light | ## Fonts - Oswald — asset _(google)_ - Inter — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
