## Description

Des Volkes Stimme is a dynamic online project that commemorates 200 years of participation in the southwestern region of Germany. Created through a collaboration between Gisela Erler, the State Councilor for Civil Society and Citizen Participation, and the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg, this initiative includes a multimedia calendar that highlights significant moments in civic engagement history. With a focus on key events, such as the 200th anniversary of the Baden Constitution and the struggles for civil rights since the 1848 revolutions, the project invites users to explore compelling stories of social activism and citizen involvement.

From the historical general strike against the Hitler regime by the residents of Mössingen to the contemporary perspectives on immigration and political responsibility, Des Volkes Stimme offers a rich tapestry of narratives that illuminate the evolution of democratic engagement in the region. This initiative is not only a chronicle of historical milestones but also a platform for ongoing dialogue about civic rights and responsibilities in modern society. Join the community in celebrating and understanding over two centuries of participatory history.
