## Description

Desafio Jovem Portugal is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting people affected by addiction and helping them rebuild their lives. Its work is grounded in a message of hope: people facing dependence are not “lost cases,” and recovery can lead to a free, sober and dignified life. The organization shares personal stories of people who have overcome addiction, reflecting its commitment to lasting change and social reintegration.

Desafio Jovem offers therapeutic programs delivered by a technical team, alongside social intervention, prevention initiatives and support for integration into the community. Its services include therapeutic communities in Alter do Chão, Cucujães and Salvaterra de Magos, as well as a community of insertion in Fanhões. The organization also provides contact points and information for people seeking admission or support.

People can contribute through donations, gifts of goods, volunteering and the organization’s solidarity shop, or by allocating part of their Portuguese income tax to its work.
