## Description

Descendants Of is a family genealogy website maintained by Vicki Lais, documenting the Phillips, Vaughn, Prince, Dorman, Higginbotham, Rodgers, Gray, Watson, Campbell and related families. Its research focuses especially on Alabama, including Blount and St. Clair counties, as well as Texas and California. The site serves as a repository for family history gathered through ongoing research, with records and materials added as they become available.

Visitors can explore family trees, DNA resources, surnames, photographs and photo albums, reunions, and information about deaths, tombstones and obituaries. The collection also includes transcriptions and images of family Bible records, marriage records, death certificates, cemetery details, probate documents, census information, land records and excerpts from old newspapers. Research pages point visitors toward county and state records, books, free genealogy websites, software and other researchers. Featured materials include images from the fragile Vaughn-Turner family Bible, held by a descendant in Blount County, Alabama. Descendants Of offers family members and fellow researchers a practical place to discover, share and investigate historical records connected to these families.
