## Description

DesertBoard is a UAE-based manufacturer of Palm Strand Board (PSB®), described as the world’s first engineered board made from date palm fronds. Established around an innovation first produced in 2021, the company transforms annually regenerated palm biomass into a locally manufactured alternative to conventional wood-based building materials. Its boards are promoted as deforestation-free, zero-formaldehyde, reusable, and recyclable, with fire-rated options and customizable finishes. DesertBoard serves construction, design, and related industries, supplying building materials, door cores, and parquet flooring. Applications include facades, wall partitions, roofing, flooring, concrete forming, landscaping, pergolas, furniture, interior decoration, commercial displays, exhibition stands, signage, stages, and prefabricated structures. The company also highlights the boards’ strength, load-bearing capacity, and suitability for selected outdoor uses. Its production facility is reported to have capacity for 6,200 boards per day, supporting local availability for project demand. DesertBoard presents PSB® as a resource-efficient material that can help reduce waste and reliance on imported wood, while connecting regional date-palm heritage with contemporary construction and design.
