## Description

Des graines de parents is a non-medical perinatal support service based in Bègles, serving families in Gironde. Founded and run by Hortense, it helps mothers, parents and their wider families approach pregnancy, a baby’s arrival and early parenthood with greater confidence and calm. The service recognises that welcoming a baby is a significant change for the whole household and offers guidance tailored to each family’s questions and needs.

Its offerings include support around preparing for a baby’s arrival, babywearing workshops and baby-carrier rental. In workshops, parents can explore different carrying options, understand their advantages and limitations, and practise safe, comfortable tying techniques with hands-on guidance. Sessions are adapted to participants’ experience and can help parents feel more at ease using carriers they already own or trying different models. The rental service offers a practical way to discover the range of babywearing options before choosing what suits a family. Hortense’s approach is described by clients as attentive, clear and non-judgmental, emphasizing listening, practical learning and shared experience rather than prescribing one solution.
