## Description

Design Bay Area is a leading platform dedicated to promoting design and amplifying the voices of the California design community. Founded in 2021 by Alana Washington, Clement Mok, and Dawn Zidonis, Design Bay Area strives to create economic opportunities by fostering both the local and international design community. Through a range of events, resources, and opportunities, Design Bay Area supports and connects designers in the region. One of the flagship events organized by Design Bay Area is the renowned San Francisco Design Week. Spanning the entire Bay Area, this annual design festival brings together designers, creatives, and enthusiasts from around the world. The brand's visual identity captures the essence of the Bay Area, with a symbol representing a spark or sun, channeling the region's optimism, warmth, and openness. The color palette reflects the unique light of the Golden Hour that bathes California at the end of each day, featuring the iconic International Orange of the Golden Gate Bridge. The typography, designed by Lucas Sharp of Sharp Type, adds a distinctive touch specific to the Bay Area. Design Bay Area's mission is to foster unity in the design community while respecting its variety. The organization also places a strong emphasis on civic involvement, sustainability, and international collaboration. With Alana Washington as Board Chair, Clement Mok as Treasurer/Secretary, and Dawn Zidonis as CEO, the brand is led by a dedicated and experienced team. Design Bay Area is headquartered at 592 Pacific Ave, 4th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94133. For further inquiries, please contact them at +1 415 609 6220 or via email.
