CS Design is an independent and responsive lighting consulting agency that was founded in 2008 to fulfill the need for a design agency in the field of architecture. Approaching lighting design from the perspective of both architects and designers, CS Design aims to enhance and promote architectural creation with a simple and integrated approach. The agency has gained numerous awards for a wide range of architectural and interior design projects, including high-end residences, commercial and institutional constructions, as well as urban design and outdoor lighting projects.

CS Design is open to collaborating with architects, designers, engineers, and planners on various projects. In addition to the expertise of their team members, CS Design offers complementary services to optimize building lighting and streamline project execution. These services include lighting and control system design, luminaire specification, integration detailing, full-scale modeling, lighting calculations, natural lighting simulations, LEED lighting credit verification, budget estimation and cost control, delivery and installation coordination, as well as commissioning and fine-tuning.

The founding partner, Conor Sampson, is a lighting designer and architect who teaches lighting design at McGill University and serves as the Canadian liaison for the International Organization for Standardization in the Technical Committee 274 (Light and Lighting). Mr. Sampson holds a Master's degree in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from McGill University.

He has practiced in New York, Washington DC, and Montreal. CS Design's portfolio includes a diverse range of notable projects such as Pont de l'Île-aux-Tourtes, SAQ De la Montagne, Air Canada Signature Suite, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Pavilion 5.
