## Description

Design Dua is a brand that is dedicated to supporting artisans in the Northern part of Ghana who engage in the craft of basket weaving. Through their Fair Market Day program, Design Dua aims to promote trade rather than aid, providing independent artisans with opportunities for sustainable income. The brand ensures fair compensation for these weavers, implementing fixed pricing guidelines that result in a 50% increase or more in what the weavers receive. Design Dua also prioritizes quality control, with their baskets made with the utmost craftsmanship and attention to detail. Collaborating with artisans and their management team, they ensure that each product is well measured, shaped, and protected from fading. Furthermore, Design Dua is committed to making a positive community impact, offering additional benefits and skill development opportunities to the weavers. With a focus on creating a supportive environment, Design Dua aims to continue expanding learning opportunities and community projects in the future.
