## Description

Design Forward Alliance is a non-profit organization that advocates for Human-Centered Design in San Diego. They aim to improve economic, social, and civic life in the community through the application of human-centered design principles. Instead of simply designing for people, they design with people, allowing users' experiences to drive decision-making and provide a better overall experience. The organization was initiated by the Design Lab at UC San Diego in 2016. Their mission is to create a unified effort that promotes the value of professional design and design thinking in business, education, government, and the San Diego community. They connect design professionals, promote the region as a design-driven innovation economy, and identify opportunities for connection with world-class design and designers. Design Forward Alliance has various goals, including promoting design and highlighting its value, creating a united design community, and advocating for San Diego as a design-driven innovation hub. Ultimately, they serve the people of San Diego by using a people-centered approach to solve complex problems in business, education, and civic life. They provide exposure to companies, increase job opportunities and economic growth, connect job providers with creative leaders, and establish San Diego as a design-driven innovation community. Join Design Forward Alliance and be part of the movement towards a more innovative and design-focused San Diego.
