## Description

The Desmoid Tumour Foundation of Canada (DFC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people affected by desmoid tumours and advancing research into these rare, locally invasive soft-tissue tumours. The foundation raises funds for essential research, shares scientific and treatment updates, and helps patients and caregivers find information to navigate care. Its website explains desmoid tumours and provides access to an updated physician guide for locating experienced healthcare professionals. DFC also highlights research findings, including studies on therapies such as sorafenib and pazopanib, and shares international treatment guidance for patients, caregivers, and medical professionals.

Beyond research and information, DFC encourages community involvement through fundraising events, campaigns, and company donations, offering resources to help supporters take part. The organization publishes news and patient-focused content, promotes surveys, and invites visitors to subscribe to its newsletter for updates. Donations support its work, and the foundation notes that contributions are tax deductible. Through research funding, education, and opportunities to connect and participate, DFC works to strengthen support for the desmoid tumour community in Canada.
