## Description

Destiny Howell is an author, podcaster, and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast who writes stories about clever kids facing tricky situations. Her books bring humor, suspense, and inventive problem-solving to middle-grade adventures, with a focus on friendship, school life, and the challenges of navigating social hierarchies.

Howell’s novel High Score follows Darius “DJ” James, a resourceful student whose knack for solving problems is put to the test when his friend Conor owes a school bully 100,000 arcade tickets and has just two weeks to repay them. In another Ella Fitzgerald Middle School mystery, DJ and his friends Audrey, Monty, and Connor investigate a series of unexpected losses among the school’s top achievers, suspecting that a saboteur may be at work. Both stories feature fast-paced plots and clever schemes, appealing to readers who enjoy school-based mysteries and heist-style adventures.
