## Description

Detricon is a Belgian small and medium-sized enterprise developing environmental technologies to recover valuable resources from wastewater. Its work focuses on extracting nutrients from manure and digestate using its nitrogen-stripping technology. This process produces biobased “green fertilizers” for local use, helping reduce the energy required to manufacture and transport conventional fertilizers. Detricon aims to provide farmers with a cost-equivalent alternative for maintaining fertile soil while supporting more resource-efficient waste treatment.

The company offers services in biobased fertilizers and ammonia recovery plants, and develops solutions from laboratory scale through to market introduction. Its projects include nitrogen recovery from cow manure and digestate in Aalter, Belgium; pig manure treatment using stripping and constructed wetlands in Hooglede; and a resource recovery factory in Barcelona, Spain. Detricon also participates in innovation and research projects related to nutrient recovery and environmental technologies. Based in Merelbeke, Belgium, the company works to turn nutrients in waste streams into useful resources for agriculture and local markets.
