## Description

The Sisters of Life, a religious community based in New York City, prioritize personal accompaniment and a merciful response as essential skills in their outreach. They recently hosted a seminar for pro-life ministers in the Archdiocese of Detroit, sharing their strategies and best practices in effective pro-life ministry. With a focus on effective communication, empathy, and compassion, the Sisters of Life aim to offer the healing heart of Christ to pregnant or post-abortive women who seek help from parish ministries. They emphasize the importance of encountering individuals with love and grace, promising ongoing support and life-changing encounters. The Sisters of Life have developed a video series called "Into Life" in collaboration with the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame, which explains their pro-life ministry and is available for use by parishes and pro-life ministries. Their ministry also focuses on providing healing and support to women who have experienced abortion, emphasizing empathetic communication techniques and a healing disposition. The sisters recognize the widespread impact of abortion, not only on women but also on men and other family members. They strive to remind the world of the sacredness and uniqueness of every life, countering the prevailing lie that not every life is important. Despite the devastating impact of abortion, the Sisters of Life believe in God's desire to heal and offer care to all those affected by its lies and deception. They emphasize the need for individuals who can accompany and listen to those who are hurting, providing a loving and supportive environment. With their compassionate approach and dedication, the Sisters of Life aim to make a difference in the lives of women and families affected by abortion.
