## Description

Detroit Vegan Soul is a renowned brand that offers delicious and satisfying vegan soul food made from whole food ingredients. Started in 2010, the brand was born out of a desire to adopt a vegan diet after the loss of Erika's father to cancer. Erika, the executive chef, began veganizing family recipes to bring that familiar and wholesome taste to their new cuisine. The food quickly gained popularity among family and friends, leading to the establishment of Detroit Vegan Soul meal delivery and catering. In 2012, Kirsten, the general manager, partnered with Erika to create the Detroit Vegan Soul restaurant brand. Two years later, Detroit's first 100% vegan soul food cafe opened in the historic West Village. With a shared entrepreneurial spirit and Kirsten's business and marketing expertise combined with Erika's culinary creativity, the brand has become a local favorite. Detroit Vegan Soul not only offers delicious food but also provides employment opportunities for individuals in the food industry. With over 20 years of experience in both communication and the food industry, the brand is well-versed in research, management, operations, communications, and marketing. Whether you're visiting Detroit or looking to cater an event, Detroit Vegan Soul is the perfect choice for flavorful and wholesome vegan soul food.
