## Description

The Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership (TDSAP) was established in 2021 by Devon County Council and the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust to enhance adult safeguarding across the region. Functioning under the Care Act of 2014, TDSAP offers essential strategic leadership and coordination among partner agencies, fostering collaboration to safeguard vulnerable adults from various forms of abuse and neglect.

TDSAP focuses on raising awareness and understanding of safeguarding issues among service users, professionals, and the wider community, emphasizing that safeguarding is a shared responsibility. The partnership operates through multiple groups, including the Safeguarding Adults Review Core Group and Operational Delivery Group, ensuring comprehensive oversight and quality assurance in safeguarding practices.

Additionally, TDSAP commissions Safeguarding Adults Reviews for cases with suboptimal outcomes, striving to extract valuable lessons for future improvements. Through its resources and training, TDSAP is dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing, addressing issues such as domestic abuse and exploitation, while actively encouraging community engagement in safeguarding efforts.
