## Description

Kraamcentrum De Wieg is a maternity care centre offering support throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Its aim is to help families get the best possible start with warm, person-centred care tailored to individual needs and circumstances. The centre describes its care as accessible to everyone and affordable, and provides information on applying for maternity care and using a care voucher.

Its services include home maternity care, midwifery and support with caring for a sick child. De Wieg also offers a breastfeeding-friendly location, information sessions and webinars to help expectant and new parents prepare for life with a baby. These sessions provide practical guidance and opportunities to meet other parents. For mothers seeking additional connection and support, the centre runs a small-group programme that explores the experience of motherhood, understanding babies and managing emotions, with a psychologist-psychotherapist and a De Wieg consultant. The centre also shares parents’ experiences through a podcast. De Wieg is part of Thuiszorg Familiezorg, which recruits care staff and volunteers.
