The DFA Awards, established in 2003 by the Hong Kong Design Centre, aim to elevate the importance of design in society and honor exceptional design leadership within Asia. This prestigious platform celebrates exemplary projects that demonstrate commercial success or impactful contributions, particularly recognizing the emerging talent from Hong Kong since 2005. 

The awards consist of five major programs: the DFA Design Leadership Award, DFA World's Outstanding Chinese Designer Award, DFA Design for Asia Awards, DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award, and the DFA Lifetime Achievement Award.
