## Description

The Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB) is a film and television academy in Berlin that has trained filmmakers for six decades. It offers practical, creative education in directing, screenwriting, cinematography, production, and editing and sound. The programme is divided into basic and advanced study: students share the first five semesters before continuing in their specialist disciplines. Standard study takes 12 semesters for most programmes and seven semesters for screenwriting. DFFB supports emerging talent from around the world as they develop their own cinematic voices, and its student and graduate films feature at festivals internationally. The academy also shares film news, events, festival results, and selected works through its website and media library. Alongside its degree programmes, DFFB presents Serial Eyes, an international training programme for television writers and producers. Prospective students can find application guidance, programme information, and online consultations, while filmmakers and industry professionals can explore events, partnerships, teaching opportunities, and academy resources.
