## Description

Desert Foothills Mountain Bike Association (DFMBA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and official IMBA chapter founded in 2010. Based in the Cave Creek area of Arizona, it works to improve mountain biking and outdoor access across the greater North Phoenix Valley for all trail users. Its activities include advocating for trail access with local governments and land managers, building and maintaining trails, educating riders, and organizing community rides and events.

DFMBA produces the Cave Creek Cactus Classic, a mountain bike race through the Sonoran Desert featuring a 25-mile course, 2,000 feet of climbing, chip timing, and a finish-line gathering. Riders can register for the race, explore local trail information, or join group activities and trail days. The organization also invites individuals and businesses to support its work through IMBA membership, sponsorships, donations, and volunteering. These contributions help fund trail advocacy, race operations, and volunteer trail projects. DFMBA welcomes community members with skills in trail building, marketing, nonprofit finance, or event organization, as well as anyone eager to support local trails.
