## Description

The DFW Solar Tour is an engaging event dedicated to showcasing sustainable living through innovative solar energy and energy efficiency solutions. Organized by the North Texas Renewable Energy Group (NTREG) in collaboration with the American Solar Energy Society, this free public event allows attendees to explore various green homes and buildings to gain insights into reducing monthly utility bills and minimizing environmental impact.

Participants can attend open houses at homes like The Abdalla House and The Alvarez House, where they can witness firsthand the implementation of renewable technologies. The tour also features interactive sessions, giving community members the opportunity to engage with homeowners who have adopted these sustainable practices and learn about their experiences.

The DFW Solar Tour not only highlights practical strategies, such as energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting, but also offers resources like educational videos and guidance on becoming a sponsor or volunteer, making it an essential event for anyone interested in environmental stewardship and renewable energy solutions.
