## Description

DGI Bauwerk is an architecture and building-planning practice with locations in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt. The firm plans and delivers buildings shaped around the needs of the people who use them, working across architecture, project management, fire-safety planning, and construction-site safety and health coordination. Its projects span research, education, workplaces, cultural facilities and mixed-use developments. Examples include research buildings for the Fraunhofer Institute IPMS-ISS in Cottbus and the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, as well as the FAIR ion42 project in Darmstadt. In Berlin, the practice is involved in sustainable office developments such as EDGE Friedrichspark and EDGE Südkreuz, the latter described as achieving DGNB Platinum certification. Its work also includes the Viktoriakarree at the University of Bonn, a new library with a cultural forum, and the Museum of the 20th Century in Berlin, where DGI Bauwerk provides planning for occupational safety and health. The firm also participates in competitions and collaborates with other architecture practices on projects including schools and residential quarters.
