It serves a broad community that includes dental and medical professionals, clinical assistants, students, universities, and dental technicians. The DGI provides continuing education through individual courses, curricula, webinars, specialist programs, and its e.Academy. Topics include implant surgery and prosthetics, aesthetic implantology, CAD/CAM, sedation, emergency management, and practice operations. The society also organizes events and congresses, supports regional associations and study groups, and offers resources for members and the wider dental community. Its practice and science materials include clinical guidelines on subjects such as peri-implant infections, implant treatment for patients with medical conditions, imaging and guided surgery, bone replacement materials, and implant-supported restorations. Through publications, a podcast, research funding, and educational resources, the DGI shares current knowledge and supports professional development.
