## Description

Dharma Publishing is a nonprofit publisher dedicated to preserving the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and sharing its teachings with readers in the West. Founded by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku in the early 1960s, the organization began in India and later continued its work in California under the guidance of Tarthang Rinpoche. It has published hundreds of volumes in Tibetan, English, and other languages, and reports distributing more than six million books. The publisher states that all profits support printing Tibetan wisdom texts for free distribution to monks, nuns, laypeople, and monasteries in India and the Himalayas.

Through its online shop, Dharma Publishing offers books on Buddhist teachings, meditation, mindfulness, psychology, Buddhist art and history, and the works of Tarthang Tulku. Its selections also include children’s titles, audiobooks, mantras, meditation recordings, and videos. The site features resources such as free articles and recorded meditations, alongside information about classes, study groups, retreats, and seminars. Dharma Publishing is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and also shares information about its affiliated centers and projects.
