## Description

Established in 1998 through the merger of Derick Henstra Architects and KCvR Architects, the firm is now part of 10N, a collective created by Egis. With studios in Cape Town and Johannesburg, dhk serves clients in South Africa, across the continent and internationally.

The studio designs buildings, public spaces and interiors that respond to their context, support environmental responsibility and are technically resilient. Its services span projects from initial design concepts through to practical completion, with multidisciplinary design professionals, technologists, BIM experts, visualisers and other specialists contributing throughout. dhk also collaborates with experts in related fields to shape integrated outcomes.

Its portfolio includes residential, commercial, hospitality, cultural and mixed-use developments, as well as urban precincts and public realms. Featured projects include Longkloof Precinct, Nobu at One&Only Cape Town, ONEHUNDREDonM and The Rubik. The firm describes its approach as curious and collaborative, with a focus on nurturing talent and designing for the future.
