## Description

Diabetes Union Alto Adige Südtirol is a nonprofit association based in Bolzano that informs, supports and represents people living with diabetes across the province. Founded in 2017 through the merger of two long-established regional associations, it serves people of all ages and addresses all types of diabetes. Its work aims to raise awareness, improve everyday life and protect the rights and needs of people with diabetes in social and political settings.

The association offers practical support, including guidance at diagnosis and help with questions about bureaucracy and diabetes technologies. Its activities include educational camps, conferences, training courses, sports and outdoor events, nutrition education, prevention initiatives and psychological wellbeing services. Programs are tailored to children, young people, families, adults and older people, with opportunities to learn and connect with others. Diabetes Union also publishes InForma, a magazine featuring association news, interviews and themed articles, and maintains a blog with information and personal stories. Members and supporters can participate, volunteer or contribute through donations.
