## Description

Associazione Diabetici Valle d’Aosta (ADVA) is a volunteer association serving people affected by diabetes in Italy’s Aosta Valley. Active since 8 October 1987, it was established through the initiative of Dr. De La Pierre and local volunteers to encourage the exchange of information about both the medical and administrative aspects of living with diabetes. Its resources are intended to help people access useful information related to their condition. The association provides news and information about diabetes, maintains a section on conventions, and offers contact by appointment for those seeking to get in touch. Since March 2024, ADVA has been affiliated with Diabete Italia, a national network of volunteer associations representing people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including adults and children. Regional delegates represent adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes in Valle d’Aosta. ADVA is based in Aosta and can be contacted by phone or email. Its work is supported by a volunteer board, including a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and councillor.
