## Description

Diabetologická ambulance Kuřim, operated by SALVEDIA s.r.o. and led by MUDr. Jana Salvetová, is a specialist outpatient clinic based at the Kuřim Polyclinic. It provides comprehensive diabetes care, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and related lifestyle diseases. The clinic also cares for expectant mothers with gestational diabetes; it does not treat children or adolescents and has temporarily paused accepting new diabetes patients because of capacity limits.

Its services include nutritional counselling, obesity care, and professional bioimpedance analysis. Patients receive individual education on diet and lifestyle, practical instruction in blood glucose self-monitoring with meters or sensors, and training in the use of insulin and other injectable diabetes or weight-management medicines. The clinic offers preventive retinal examinations using artificial intelligence, regular ECG checks, 24-hour blood-pressure monitoring, and ABI testing to assess lower-limb circulation. Care follows evidence-based medical practice, with support from an experienced nutrition therapist. Secure electronic communication enables the clinic to share medical reports and issue electronic prescriptions and referrals.
