## Description

Diablo Action Pistol (DAP) is a volunteer-run and volunteer-staffed shooting sports organization based at the United Sportsmen Inc. Range in Concord, California. Sponsored by the Diablo Rod and Gun Club, one of the original clubs at the range, DAP has a history dating to around 1988, when its founding members adopted the organization’s bylaws. Its activities are supported by dedicated volunteer shooters.

DAP hosts competitive shooting events across several formats, including USPSA, multi-gun, Steel Challenge, and IDPA. The multi-gun sport tests competitors’ skills with rifles, pistols, and shotguns on challenging, physically demanding courses; results are based on stage times adjusted for bonuses and penalties. DAP is affiliated with USPSA as a sanctioned club. IDPA matches are designed for shooters of varied skill levels and use handguns, holsters, and equipment suited to concealed-carry self-defense, with requirements based on commonly available gear. The organization provides information about match calendars, rules and standard operating procedures, orientation, results, and event galleries. DAP’s website also offers contact details and links to its social media.
