## Description

Diamond Racehorse Aftercare is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping retired racehorses find safe, fulfilling lives beyond the track. The organization identifies and acquires horses across the country whose racing careers have ended, then works with other nonprofits and individuals to support their transition and placement in responsible homes.

Its services include care and rehabilitation for horses recovering from injuries, retraining for new careers, and rehoming with suitable owners. Depending on their abilities and circumstances, horses may move into disciplines such as show jumping, dressage, eventing, or therapy programs, or become companion animals. The organization also invites prospective adopters to explore available horses and begin the adoption process.

Diamond Racehorse Aftercare was inspired by Diamonds N Denim, a racehorse whose serious injury and difficult medical journey moved the founders to help horses beyond their own. Through its mission, the organization aims to give retired racehorses compassionate support, new purpose, and the opportunity to thrive in retirement. It welcomes inquiries about horses needing assistance and donations to support its work.
