## Description

Diarmi is a reader-supported platform for human-written fiction, designed to connect readers with stories and the authors behind them. Readers can discover and read fiction without advertising, build a library, and take part in conversations through features such as Diaries, Discussions, Reviews, and homerooms. The Salon brings together popular discussions from stories published on the platform, giving readers a place to react, share theories, and follow along between chapters.

Diarmi also offers VocalCast, a text-to-speech feature that lets users choose different voices for characters and hear dialogue performed like a teleplay. Writers can publish for free, retain full copyright ownership, and create work that Diarmi says will not be used for AI training. As a legally registered public benefit corporation, Diarmi has written commitments into its charter: at least 50% of eligible platform revenue is reserved for the Author Fund, intended to support writers. The platform presents its model as a way to sustain authors while offering an immersive, ad-free fiction experience.
