## Description

Theramisu is a paediatric physiotherapy practice in Schenkon, Switzerland, serving babies, children and adolescents. Established in 1994, the practice is now supported by the Theramisu association, which was created with families, paediatricians and Lucerne Children’s Hospital to help secure affordable therapy space. Its approach places each child’s abilities, needs and enjoyment of movement at the centre of care, while working with families and other health professionals.

Theramisu offers physiotherapy using the Bobath concept and sensory integration, as well as manual therapy, respiratory therapy, children’s back-school programmes and Schroth-based scoliosis treatment. These services address motor and neurological difficulties, movement and joint problems, posture, breathing and spinal curvature. Treatments are provided on medical prescription where applicable.

The practice has dedicated therapy rooms, including a baby room, a barrier-free gym, a terrace and an outdoor therapy area with a pump track, climbing zone and Vitaparcours. Theramisu collaborates with occupational therapists, speech therapists, doctors, educators, schools and families. It is currently seeking an occupational therapist and notes that occupational therapy is not yet available.
