Founded in 1978, the organization arranges first aid and transport for sick and injured animals, supported by volunteers and staff. Its work is funded in part by donations, which help provide care for animals in the local region. The service responds to animals in distress and can be contacted separately for emergencies and general enquiries. The organization also shares information about lost and found animals, its team, services and annual figures on animals helped. In addition to emergency assistance, it offers pet microchipping and registration; the website states that this service resumed on 1 January 2025. Evening shifts were scheduled to restart from 1 April, with night service limited to urgent cases. Dierenambulance Waterland invites community members to volunteer, donate or become sponsors, helping sustain its work and ensure animals receive assistance when they need it. ## Industries - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Animals _(under Pets and Animals)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idL1hdiEci/w/367/h/363/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793039191212) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Persian Red | #c13b2c | accent | | Tropical Rain Forest | #006f5e | dark | | Goldenrod | #ffcb70 | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
