## Description

Dietro al Volante is a film and motoring-history project by Triskell Pictures, created as a tribute to racing driver Nino Vaccarella, the Targa Florio and Porsche. Its short film, released for the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, explores the people, cars and challenges behind one of motorsport’s most celebrated road races. The website offers a trailer and detailed stories about Vaccarella’s career, the Targa Florio’s history and Porsche’s achievements in the event.

Founded in Sicily in 1906, the Targa Florio became a defining endurance race, challenging drivers on the winding mountain roads of the Madonie. The project highlights Vaccarella’s three Targa Florio victories and his successes at races including Le Mans, Sebring and Nürburgring, alongside his work as an official Ferrari and Alfa Romeo driver. It also traces Porsche’s record at the Targa Florio, including 11 wins and five consecutive victories from 1966 to 1970. Through film, historical photographs and editorial features, Dietro al Volante celebrates the people, machines and legacy of classic motor racing.
