## Description

Diet Tobacco Europe (DTE) is a European tobacco-processing venture established in 2017 by SanGroup International, through its subsidiary, and Continental Dohányipari Zrt. Based in Sátoraljaújhely, Hungary, the company operates a facility dedicated to dry ice expanded tobacco, using a production line designed and installed by Airco-Denmark. DTE began serving customers in November 2020, offering products from its established portfolio while also developing exclusive products in response to customer requirements through its research and development work.

The facility welcomes customer-supplied tobacco for expansion, as well as supplying its own products. A new production line tripled DTE’s capacity to help meet growing customer demand. The company describes itself as Europe’s largest independent dry ice expanded tobacco facility, reflecting the combined capabilities of its two partners. DTE’s focus is on tobacco expansion and tailored product development for customers. The website provides factory and sales contacts in Hungary and Singapore, connecting customers with the production site and the wider SanGroup International and Continental Tobacco Group businesses.
