## Description

The Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digitaliseringsdirektoratet, or Digdir) is a government agency working to make everyday digital life easier and help create a more efficient, user-oriented and coordinated public sector. Its mission is to ensure that digitalisation supports public participation, value creation and innovation across Norway.

Digdir helps public organisations plan and deliver better digital services through practical guidance, shared standards and reusable digital infrastructure. Its resources cover areas such as information management, data sharing, digital inclusion, accessibility, clear communication, information security and internal controls. The agency also advises on service design, product organisation, project management, financing and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Public-sector teams can access common digital solutions, architectural guidance, requirements and tools for collaboration. Digdir supports innovation through initiatives such as Stimulab, provides financial support and advice for user-centred development, and facilitates cooperation between government, businesses and research communities. It also publishes reports, news and professional guidance, and hosts events and networks that help organisations exchange knowledge and coordinate digital transformation.
