About
Description
Denver Indian Family Resource Center (DIFRC) is a reputable 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering American Indian and Alaska Native families in the Denver metro area. Our agency, founded in 2000, addresses the overrepresentation of AI/AN families in the child welfare system by offering culturally-appropriate resources and services. DIFRC is committed to strengthening vulnerable AI/AN children and families through collaborative and culturally-responsive programs.
We provide a wide range of services, including family support services, community resources, and the Seven Stars Collaborative. Our initiatives aim to foster a sense of belonging and cultural connection among AI/AN families in the Denver area. Notably, we provide Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) advocacy to facilitate reunification for families involved in the child welfare system.
We understand that family extends beyond immediate relatives, and our definition of family includes close friends to ensure utmost support. If you are passionate about our mission, there are various ways you can contribute and support our efforts. Visit our Support Us section on our website for more information.
