## Description

Digital Linguistics (DigiLing) is an international joint Master’s programme offered by the University of Ljubljana, Masaryk University and the University of Zagreb. It explores how language is used and processed in digital environments, bringing together linguistics, information technology and social sciences. The two-year programme comprises 120 ECTS and welcomes graduates from relevant humanities, computing and social science backgrounds. Students enrol at one partner university and complete a required third-semester mobility period at another, with all three universities jointly awarding the Master’s degree.

The curriculum combines foundations tailored to students’ prior studies with natural language processing, research methods, language and society, computation, and practical research or internship experience. Advanced topics include machine learning, speech technologies, multilinguality, digital humanities and language data analysis, culminating in a Master’s thesis. Graduates develop applied computing and programming skills, learn to manage language resources and design language solutions, and gain expertise in digital communication and multilingual content.
