Digital Scriptorium (DS) is a growing consortium of American institutions that care for global premodern manuscript collections. Its central mission is to build an online national union catalog bringing together information about manuscripts held in collections across the United States. By making records searchable in one place, DS helps researchers and the public discover materials and explore connections among collections.

The DS Catalog offers access to manuscript descriptions and collection information, supported by search tools, Wikibase, and a linked data query service with SPARQL capabilities. The organization also provides documentation and guidance for member contributors, including information about its data model, metadata mapping, and cataloging workflows. These resources support the creation and enrichment of records and help institutions make their holdings more visible.

Beyond the catalog, Digital Scriptorium shares research, news, and practical insights through DS Notes, reports, and annual meetings.
