## Description

The Unité de Gouvernance Digitale (UGD) is an initiative established by the Republic of Madagascar to advance digital governance and improve public service delivery. Focused on meeting the essential needs of citizens, UGD aims to create an efficient administrative system that is responsive to the individual and business demands of the populace. The unit implements various digital transformation projects that enhance the management of public resources and accessibility to services. Notable offerings include the XROAD platform—an open-source solution designed for secure data sharing between institutions—and the Torolalana portal, which serves as a comprehensive resource for navigating government services. UGD is also involved in public health initiatives, such as overseeing vaccination campaigns through a digital patient management platform. By fostering interconnectivity and applying international standards for interoperability, UGD positions itself as a key player in Madagascar's journey toward a more agile and citizen-centered digital administration.
