## Description

Digitalcourage is a brand that has been passionately advocating for fundamental rights, privacy, and a sustainable digital world since 1987. Committed to countering the datification and commercialization of our democracy, Digitalcourage aims to protect our freedom and promote a democracy that values privacy. Their impactful protest action, in collaboration with FIfF, saw the installation of new signs at a subway station, presenting honest information about video surveillance. Video surveillance does not ensure safety, one sign rightfully states, while the other highlights how surveillance footage is often ineffective against criminals and terrorists. By challenging the misleading claims of the Berlin public transportation authorities, Digitalcourage ensures that subway riders have accurate knowledge about the limitations and risks associated with video surveillance. As a non-profit organization, Digitalcourage relies on donations and voluntary work to carry out their crucial mission. Join them in supporting a more transparent and democratic society by becoming a member or contributing to their cause.
