## Description

Digital Museums Canada is dedicated to enhancing the digital capacity of Canadian museums and heritage organizations. With a mission to provide unique access to diverse stories and experiences, this initiative supports cultural, Indigenous, and community-driven projects through financial investments and resources. Key offerings include funding for comprehensive digital projects, enabling organizations to receive up to $250,000 to develop online ventures that adhere to web accessibility standards while engaging audiences with immersive content. For smaller initiatives, the Community Stories funding stream offers up to $25,000 to foster digital storytelling using DMC’s specialized platform. Projects generally take 2-3 years for digital projects and 18-24 months for Community Stories to come to fruition. In addition to funding, Digital Museums Canada provides various resources, including application assistance, online courses, and a repository of funded projects to inspire and guide applicants. By bridging technology with cultural heritage, Digital Museums Canada plays a pivotal role in the evolution of Canada's digital landscape.
