## Description

Dii Desert Energy, established in 2009 as the Desertec Industrial Initiative, stands as the premier pan-MENA think tank focused on driving the energy transition with an emphasis on socio-economic impact. With a mission to transform energy systems across the MENA deserts, Dii promotes the use of renewable energy sources to achieve net-zero emissions by harnessing green electrons and molecules.

The organization connects countries and clean energy markets globally, offering insights and expertise through its extensive network of partners and executive leaders in the energy sector. Dii has pioneered initiatives like the MENA Hydrogen Alliance to foster green hydrogen economies and the ZETA initiative for climate-neutral energy trading. Their landmark studies and tools, such as the Levelised Costs of Hydrogen models, have become vital resources for policymakers and industry leaders.

As a collaborative platform, Dii enables partnerships, knowledge sharing, and project acceleration, ultimately aiming to provide secure, affordable energy solutions that benefit local communities and contribute to a sustainable global energy future.
