## Description

DIKU Dunkers is a community basketball club based in Copenhagen, founded in 2024 by Anders Hoeck and Lau Safin. Established as an association connected to the Department of Computer Science, the club welcomes everyone, regardless of student status, age or playing experience. Its aim is to promote basketball and build a social, inclusive community through sport and shared activities.

Members can choose between two half-year memberships: training, which provides access to weekly indoor practice, or the match-team option, which includes training and participation in Danish Basketball Federation (DBBF) games. The club has a team competing in Serie 1 and holds regular sessions at Ny Islands Brygge School Hall. Newcomers are welcome to try a free training session; participants are advised to bring sportswear and indoor shoes.

DIKU Dunkers also supports its community through a calendar of practices and games, alongside Facebook and Messenger groups for communication and events. Led by volunteer coaches and an elected board, the association provides a welcoming setting for players to develop their skills, compete and enjoy basketball together.
