## Description

Dingo Sanctuary Bargo is an Australian registered charity, established in 1976, dedicated to caring for up to 32 native Australian dingoes and educating the public about these often misunderstood animals. Located in Bargo, south-west of Sydney, the volunteer-run sanctuary welcomes visitors, schools, groups and dingo enthusiasts for guided visits and opportunities to meet the animals up close. Guests can learn about individual dingoes, their role in the ecosystem and the sanctuary’s work, with some visits offering a personal encounter. Bookings are essential, and the sanctuary is open to the public five days a week, excluding Sundays and Mondays.

The organisation also shares information about dingoes and the history of the sanctuary, including its breeding program. Visitors can meet the volunteers, apply to volunteer and support the charity’s work. Options include sponsoring a dingo and purchasing gift vouchers for a visit. The sanctuary does not sell dingoes to the general public and does not recommend them as pets.
