Diode Computers, Inc. is a Brooklyn-based company that automates circuit board design and manufacturing, helping customers turn hardware ideas into assembled boards. Its services bring design, fabrication and assembly together, with AI tools and engineering expertise supporting the process from initial requirements through delivery.

Customers can use a self-service option, submitting a description, block diagram or KiCad project for AI-assisted design and instantly quoted fabrication and assembly. Designs receive manufacturability checks before fabrication. For enterprise projects, Diode’s electrical engineers develop boards from customer requirements; this service starts at $10,000 per design, plus fabrication, and includes dedicated Slack support, priority assistance and hardware bring-up. Parts are sourced and boards are assembled in-house in Brooklyn, for both prototypes and production.

Diode also presents its own hardware, including Whisper, a software-defined radio, and Helm, a Jetson Orin carrier for edge AI and robotics. The company shares open-source reference designs, including a motor controller, a debugging probe and a Raspberry Pi CM5 carrier board.
