DIOK Rugby Club, also known as RC DIOK Leiden, is a prominent rugby club founded on March 28, 1971, with the support of the Leidsch Studenten Rugby Gezelschap (LSRG). With a rapid and successful growth phase, DIOK quickly earned a place in the Ereklasse, the highest national rugby competition in the Netherlands, in the 1975-1976 season, and has remained a dominant force ever since. DIOK Rugby Club has an impressive record, being crowned national champions 15 times, including a remarkable 10 consecutive titles in the 1990s. This accomplishment is still recognized and recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
