## Description

The Dipsea Race is an iconic event that has become a spiritual awakening for Pastor Mike Wolford. Inspired by the legendary Dipsea Demon, Jack Kirk, Pastor Mike's Dipsea history dates back to his childhood. Now, as a pastor in Arkansas, he is returning to the race that he nearly won in 1968, accompanied by his sons, Isaac and Seth. Pastor Mike believes that running can contribute to a healthy and balanced life, as evident in the remarkable longevity of Jack Kirk. The Wolford family shares a special connection with Kirk, who treated them like his own, even allowing them to keep their horses on his ranch. Pastor Mike's Dipsea journey began in 1966, and he quickly learned the gospel of this unique race. In 1968, he finished runner-up to the renowned Mr. Dipsea and just ahead of the Dipsea Demon himself. After a long hiatus, Pastor Mike returned to the Dipsea in 2005 and has since earned his coveted Black Shirts, solidifying his dedication to this unforgettable event. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Pastor Mike and his family are eagerly awaiting their participation in this historic race once again.
